Lord Bingo Montpellier Cholmondely-ffeatherstonehaugh, left, greets the Queen Mother in the Press Club, London, some time in 1986 or 1987. To his left is artist Richard Stone who had just completed a portrait of the Queen Mum
Ashley Walton, referring to this 'bizarre photo of Lord Drone sucking up to the Royal Family', imagines the conversation which took place:
Queen Mother : And what do you do?'
Lord Drone: Well basically, not a lot.
QM: How do you mean?
Drone: It's a bit like being a drone in a bee hive. I hang around the office a lot feeding off the work of others, only going out to hedonistic haunts in the hope of drinking or having sex with someone.
QM : How reassuring, we've got plenty of people like that in our family.
