Not a lot of drink was sunk for once when a group of old Daily Express reprobates had lunch at Da Corradi in Shepherd Market, London. Three of the five Gentlemen Who Lunch confined themselves to soft drinks. Two of them, however, imbibed in the best tradition of Fleet Street and laundered their livers in suitable fashion. The culprits are named below.
NOT SOZZLED AT ALL: Bill ‘Didge’ Reynolds (orange juice and lemonade) and Alastair ‘Bingo’ McIntyre (beer and red wine) sitting in the naughty corner
THREE’S COMPANY: Dick Dismore, (sparkling water), Mike Hughes (beer and red wine) and Jon Zackon (Diet Coke)
