Halle Berry visits the Daily Express in 1986

STAR IN THE MAKING: A 20-year-old Halle Berry outside the Daily Express in Fleet Street in November 1986. She was in London to represent the United States as Miss Ohio in the 36th Miss World pageant. Believe it or not she came sixth!

Halle, who later became an actress and a big Hollywood star, had an interest in British newspapers because of her family heritage. Her grandmother was from Sawley, Derbyshire and her mother, Judy, was born in Liverpool.
